I was born in California just outside Anaheim. I grew up in a suburb of Denver - one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the country, in fact. The university I attended had 33,000 students. I'm kind of a city kid. Definitely not one you would peg as ending up in a two-horse town.
But then I met the D. H., a farm boy from upstate New York, and I've ended up in single-stoplight hamlets ever since. Given that the D. H. is a wildlife biologist, this trend is likely to continue. So this blog is dedicated to all the things good, bad, and hilarious about living in the small towns of the U.S. Cheers!
